Karambit | Fade
A knife finish of Extraordinary rarity. Nearly every copy is Factory New, so the debate is about fade percent.
Wear ranges up to 0.08
Once a copy exists its float is fixed, and playing never edits it. Wear names label stretches of that number, and this knife carries just the stretches that its own limits reach. The Overlap column below lists them.
| Wear | Overlap | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Factory New | 0.00 – 0.07 | Listed wear |
| Minimal Wear | 0.07 – 0.08 | Narrow slice |
Gold slot, not a weapon covert
As a rare-special finish, Karambit Fade belongs to the gold slot and not to the weapon coverts. Its shape dates from the original knife set of 14 August 2013, which included the CS:GO Weapon Case. The float is limited to 0.00 through 0.08, so almost all copies are Factory New, with Minimal Wear as a sliver.
Buyers pay more for a higher fade percent, and the pattern seed decides that percent. Arguing about wear misses the point, and the pattern guide covers that split. StatTrak exists. A Souvenir version does not.
So read a listing for its percent first. The wear name will be Factory New on almost every copy, and it tells you little.
