Chroma Case: for Doppler, phase sets the price, not float
Doppler became an everyday knife search in the Chroma era, and the phase, not the float, sets its price.
Doppler: price follows phase
When players say Doppler arrived in 2015, Chroma cases are the containers they mean. This page uses the Karambit Doppler, with a float cap of 0.00 to 0.08. What moves the price is the phase: the ordinary numbered phases, or Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl.
Gamma Doppler came afterwards, and luck inside the original Doppler will not produce one. Emerald belongs to Gamma. When a listing does not say Gamma, do not pay an Emerald price.
The numbers: 0.26% for gold
One figure frames every opening: about 0.26% for the rare slot on a standard weapon case. Past that, the result is the wear ladder from the odds guide. Our take: a covert that players know by name leaves the gold slot untouched and only sets what red can be.
