Huntsman Weapon Case: the Howl no longer drops

Huntsman Weapon Case

Huntsman came out on 1 May 2014. Its Howl is gone, pulled and marked Contraband, and the Vulcan stayed.

Three skins, three fates

Three skins defined this case at launch: the M4A4 Howl, the AK-47 Vulcan and the USP-S Orion. After a copyright dispute the Howl's artwork was pulled, and every Howl already out there turned Contraband. Nothing drops the Orion from this case anymore. Only the Vulcan carried on as a regular covert.

Nobody can unbox a Howl today. If a seller pitches an opening as a Howl chance, the case they describe no longer works that way.

What gold costs in odds: 0.26%

Our take: a covert can be famous without changing the gold odds. About 0.26% of openings in a regular weapon case reach the rare slot, and wear, covered in the odds guide, settles all the others.
