SkinSwap does not charge a visible fee. It takes its cut inside the price: sell a $100 skin to the bot and the offer lands between $75 and $90. The site is a CS2 and Rust marketplace run by DES Labs, LLC of Virginia, which runs a bot, a P2P market and a separate China page. It scores 3.3 of 5 with us, and the reasons sit mostly in how money leaves the site.
We checked skinswap.com on 29 Sep 2026 from Georgia (the country) and opened a fresh test account on 1 Oct 2026. We made no deposit, sale or withdrawal, so every payout figure below is the site's own statement or the terms, not something we measured.
What does the 75-90% payout cost?
The site prices a skin as the live average of "hundreds" of outside sources and pays 75-90% of that number. The gap of 10-25% is your cost. On a $1,000 knife that is $100-250 left on the table, so expensive items are where comparing offers pays off most.
We found no minimum offer amount and no separate buying fee. For the China page the site claims a median delivery of 17 minutes, seller cancellations under 0.1% and prices 10-30% below Western platforms; we could not verify any of that.

Trustpilot's AI summary of 814 reviews lists hidden fees and a poor exchange rate among the complaints. We read that as a direction of grumbling, not as a rule of the site.
Ten ways out, one week at most: how do you cash out?
Ten withdrawal methods are listed: PayPal, Venmo (mostly for the US), Cash App, bank transfer through Stripe, five cryptocurrencies and SolCard. We found neither a withdrawal fee nor a minimum amount, which means the figure only appears on an account.
The speed is where the sources disagree. Our notes carry a line that payouts are usually instant, but we could not tie it to any page of the site. The terms, in section 28, quote one week. We read the terms as the ceiling and instant as possible, not promised.
Downside: a one-week ceiling and an unnamed identity-check threshold make same-day cash-out a gamble. If you need the money by a date, verify your identity first and run a small test withdrawal.
Refunds follow the same cautious logic. The refund policy, updated on 05 Apr 2026, declares every sale final. A failed marketplace purchase goes back to your site balance, a declined trade minus the service fee, and a refund to the original card or wallet only at the site's discretion.
What does the promo code actually give you?
SkinSwap codes are affiliate codes: any user can make one. Ours is cs2check; on 1 Oct 2026 a newly made test account took it without complaint. The partner note mentions an exclusive skin worth up to $50 for free. The credited amount stays unmeasured.
You enter it on the red Claim Free Item button on the trade page. The bonus then climbs with trading volume:
| Trading volume | Free item |
|---|---|
| $10 | up to $1 |
| $50 | up to $7.50 |
| $100 | up to $20 |
| $250 | up to $50 |
The words "up to" make each figure a ceiling. We did not check which operations count as volume, and two recent Trustpilot reviews argue about exactly that, one about a $250 trade that was not counted.
Downside: affiliate marketing mentions a $5 bonus on the first trade, but the product tiers start at $1 for $10 of volume. Plan around the tiers and leave the $5 out.
Store prices looked about 10-14% above Steam in the cases we checked. An instant sale of our skins was offered at about 60% of their value, against the 75-90% the site states.
What does a fresh account show?
Sign-in is through Steam only. The registration form asks you to pick a game (CS2 or Rust), enter an email, paste a Steam trade link and tick the terms box. A public inventory and a confirmed email are required as well.

The profile page lists Verify Identity and Connect Bank Account buttons beside the Steam link, so identity checks and bank payouts are built in from the start. The site also advertises a 40% bonus on the amount you add, with a note on the deposit window that it applies on the trade page only, not the market page.
What does the site contradict?
Three things do not line up, and we would rather list them than pick a side.
- Fee level. The aggregator csgoskins.gg shows a seller fee of about 45% and an average buyer discount of 27.86%. The site itself describes a 10-25% deduction. Both cannot describe the same deal: if buyers pay 27.86% under market while the bot pays sellers 75-90% of market, the site would have no margin left.
- Age. The terms set the minimum at 13 and "effectively 18+" where law requires it. We write for readers 18+.
- Identity checks. The terms let the company ask any user to verify at any time. Our notes describe verification as mandatory above a threshold the site never names.
Downside: the site gives no way to learn in advance when the identity check triggers. If you hold an expensive inventory, assume the check will come and prepare documents before you sell.
What happens when you ask support?
We opened the live chat on 1 Oct 2026 and asked how to withdraw a sale. After a tap on Deposits, an AI agent described card, Cash App and crypto deposits, and our withdrawal question went unanswered.

Marketplaces carry no support score from us, so this does not move the rating.
Is the reputation as good as the stars?
Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 2,307 reviews, with 78.1% at five stars and 12.8% at one star, and 876 reviews in the last 12 months. Negative reviews got 149 company replies out of 150, on average within 2.75 days. Trustpilot's AI summary credits quick purchases, a clean interface and competitive prices.
We read the 20 newest English reviews, written 23-29 Sep 2026. Fifteen were five-star (75%) and one was one-star (5%), a rosier picture than the overall split. Eight authors praised fast trades, five praised support, three described a failed trade or payment problem, and none mentioned payout delays or identity checks. Trustpilot marks 14 of the 20 as collected by invitation, so the sample is small and likely friendly.

What are the strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths
- Ten withdrawal methods across fiat and crypto.
- Free item up to $50 by volume tier, with a code the site accepted.
- Registered operator in the Virginia state registry (ID 11388988).
- Trustpilot 4.3 from 2,307 reviews and no public incidents found.
Weaknesses
- No fixed fee: 10-25% is withheld from market value.
- Up to a week for payout under the terms, instant not promised.
- Identity threshold, smallest offer and withdrawal fee all unpublished.
- All sales final; refunds go to balance by default.
- Affiliate credit of 1% and above cannot be withdrawn as money.
Before your first deposit
You must be 18 or older, and local law may set a higher age. SkinSwap's own terms start at 13, which is not our standard. We found no list of restricted countries in the terms; users answer for complying with their own law. Skin prices move, deals can lose money and nothing here is a promise of profit.
For our approach to limits see responsible play and the affiliate disclosure: we may earn a commission when you register through our button.
Score: 3.3 of 5: wide exit menu, cost hidden in the price
Trust, 4.0. The highest mark. An open legal entity, 2,307 Trustpilot reviews at 4.3 and no public incidents found. The age contradiction and exchange-rate complaints hold it back from more.
Payouts, 3.5 and Promo, 3.5. Payouts gain from ten methods in fiat and crypto but lose to the one-week ceiling and the unnamed identity threshold. Promo gains from a clear tier table and an accepted code, and loses because the reward is an item with an "up to" cap, store prices carry a margin and skin-deposit bonuses wait seven days.
Fees, 2.0. The lowest mark. A 10-25% deduction sits inside every sale, and complaints about hidden fees appear in Trustpilot's summary. The 45% aggregator figure plays no part in the score.
FAQ
Is there a SkinSwap promo code?
Yes. Codes are affiliate codes entered on the Claim Free Item button, and ours is cs2check. The reward runs from an item worth up to $1 at $10 of volume to up to $50 at $250.
Is SkinSwap legit?
We found nothing that points to a scam: a registered Virginia company, Trustpilot 4.3 from 2,307 reviews and no public incidents. Price and payout time still need checking on your own deal.
How long does a SkinSwap withdrawal take?
Up to one week under the terms. The site does not present instant payout as a promise, so plan for the longer case.
Does SkinSwap require identity verification?
Yes, above a threshold the site does not name, and the terms allow a request at any time. Keep documents ready.
What is the SkinSwap fee when selling?
No rate is stated. Sales to the bot are paid at 75-90% of market price, which leaves $10-25 with the site per $100.
